I saw this headline a while back and it just captured me, it said if plan A fails remember you have 25 letters left. I like options and to know that if my plan A doesn’t work no worries, I’ll move on to plan B, C, or Q. The key to your success and mine is you’ve got to have a plan. You know the old saying, failure to plan is planning to fail don’t let that be you. Remember I spoke the other day that you’re going to repair or prepare, I just want you to prepare so you don’t have to come back and do it again or you’ve got to undo something because it failed.
Most of you know where you’re going next, and many of you have a pretty good idea of what the next steps will be. With the plan, what I find is that you’re able to weather the storm because really no matter what life throws at you… You can ride the wave knowing the ultimate goal, which is pretty much getting to the shore.
I have always loved the quote by Winston Churchill, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” The courage to continue… there’s a powerful force especially when you’ve got another 25 letters left to make a go of it. I like that, if plan A fails you’ve still got 25 letters left. So, plan B, plan C, just have a plan people, that’s the key to success. Have a plan. I find a lot of people go through life kind of hoping, wishing, hedging, but if you have a plan, you will know what’s next. You would also know what not to do.
Think about when you go to the store and you have a grocery list, you seem to get in and out a whole lot quicker. Unless you’re like me and you just wander the aisles looking for new products and then you buy and you realize you didn’t like it in the first place, however, it was an adventure.
Alright plans work if plan A doesn’t work, go to plan B and keep moving forward please don’t stop you have too much on the line to stop so friends follow this good advice if plan A doesn’t work don’t worry you got 25 letters left let’s move on for your outrageous success.
I think many of you know that I love quotes. So many of them just seem to say what I am thinking in a much more concise way. I read a quote that said, “Passion removes the fear of failure when you have passion for your ideas you don’t have to cut your losses you work no matter how things look, you work because you believe in an idea and a concept than just looking at the bottom line.” Nick Gleason said, “Success is the culmination of failure, mistakes, false starts, confusion, and the determination to keep going anyway.” One of my favorite speakers, Zig Ziglar said, “Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street” and of course, John Wooden, “Failure isn’t fatal, but failure to change might be.”
I find that a lot of people get stuck and then they feel like they failed, so they walk away instead of going to plan B, C, D, or any other letter of the alphabet. Remember, if plan A doesn’t work out, you still have 25 more letters of the alphabet to work with.
